Who we are

Mint Building & Joinery provides residential building and joinery services in West Yorkshire. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website or when discussing a project.

For privacy questions, email info@mintbuildingandjoinery.co.uk or call 07718 403372.

Information we collect

When you make an enquiry, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, project type, property or project details, and any other information you choose to provide. If you become a customer or supplier, we may also keep quotations, invoices, correspondence and records needed to manage the work.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and discuss the work you are considering.
  • To prepare quotations and take steps before entering into a contract.
  • To arrange, carry out and administer agreed work.
  • To keep appropriate business, tax and legal records.
  • To protect our business and deal with disputes or legal claims.

We use your information where it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract, where we have a legitimate business interest in responding to and managing enquiries, or where the law requires us to keep records.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it only where necessary with trusted website, email and IT providers; professional advisers such as accountants; trades or suppliers involved in your project when appropriate; or public authorities where required by law. Service providers may process information outside the UK, in which case we expect appropriate data-protection safeguards to be used.

How long we keep it

General enquiries that do not become projects are normally retained for up to 24 months. Records relating to completed work, payments, tax or legal matters may be kept for up to six years, or longer where the law requires it or a dispute remains unresolved. Information is deleted or securely disposed of when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, or ask for information you supplied in a portable format. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Visit ico.org.uk for information about making a data-protection complaint.
